Airports & Airlines
Our Go Sail Montenegro trips start from Porto Montenegro marina, on the Bay of Kotor. Tivat is Montenegro’s closest airport to the marina, only around 10 minutes away, so flying directly into Tivat is by far the quickest and most convenient route from airport to departure harbour.
However, Tivat has fewer direct connections than some nearby alternatives, so many passengers instead fly into Podgorica (Montenegro’s capital, about 90 minutes from Tivat) or Dubrovnik in neighbouring Croatia (also around 90 minutes away), both of which offer a wider range of airlines and routes, particularly from the UK.

Catamaran Ferry from Croatia
Highly recommended! If you wish to do Go Sail Montenegro before or after Go Croatia Sail then there is a high-speed catamaran that connects Dubrovnik to Budva and Kotor, running seasonally from June to September.
This catamaran ferry runs up to twice a day at the height of summer (July–August) on the Budva route, with a lighter schedule of around 2–3 crossings a week on the Kotor route. It departs from and arrives at Gruž port in Dubrovnik, close to where the Go Croatia Sail boats will be docked.

Ferry from Italy
There used to be ferries running from Bari and Ancona in Italy to the port of Bar in Montenegro twice a week. These lines have been discontinued, but as soon as they are reinstated, we will update this page.
Buses from Croatia
There are buses departing every day from Dubrovnik (bus station is close to where the Go Croatia Sail boats are docked) to either Tivat or Budva.
